Highlights: a fairy-scene of colours and flavours in the Valley of the Thracian kings, where for decades past the famous Bulgarian rose oil has been produced.

Day 1 - 01.06

Arrival to Sofia.Transfer from the airport and accommodation in 3*. Dinner and overnight in Sofia.

Day 2 - 02.06 - The Capital of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom

After breakfast - a trip to the old capital of Bulgaria - Veliko Tarnovo. Visit to the historical hill Tsarevets with the Fortress, the Patriarchal Church and the Emperor Baldwin's Tower. You will walk along the old Trade Street - Samovodska charshia.

Next is visit of Arbanassi village, famous with its ancient richly decorated churches and magnificent architecture. It used to be a residence of the Bulgarian kings.

In the afternoon - panoramic tour round Gabrovo, the Bulgarian capital of humor and visit of  Etara - an unique open-air museum, re-creating the way of life and the means of livelihood of the Bulgarians in the 19th century. Accommodation, dinner and overnight in 3* hotel in Etara.

Day 3 - 03.06 - The Magic of the Roses

Early in the morning we will take breakfast boxes from the hotel and depart to Kazanlak - the capital of the Rose valley. We will join the local people in the rose-picking in the rose plantations near Kazanlak. Visit of authentic operating rose-distillery and introduction to the technology of production of rose oil (a highly esteemed component in the perfume and cosmetics industry), tasting of rose products. Visit of the traditional for this festival town carnival - a big attraction for the tourists. Lunch at open-air barbecue with folklore program.

In the afternoon - visit of The Thracian Kazanlak Tomb, dating back to the 4th C. BC (listed in the world natural and historical heritage of UNESCO).

Set off for Plovdiv - the city with the seven hills, founded by Philip of Macedonia - the father of Alexander the Great. Accommodation, dinner and overnight in 3* hotel.

Day 4 - 04.06 - The Antique Plovdiv

Breakfast. Visit of the Old town of Plovdiv with the Ethnographic museum, St. St. Konstantin and Elena Church - the oldest church in the city, the Ancient Theatre, the Roman Stadium.

In the afternoon - visit of Bachkovo Monastery. Founded in 11-th century by two Georgian brothers, this is the second largest Bulgarian Monastery after the Rila Monastery. There are extremely valuable frescos of biblical subjects from 16-th century in the monastery. The Icon of Virgin Mary, the patron saint of the monastery, is considered as miraculous.

Return to Plovdiv. Dinner and overnight.

Optional: Wine tasting in "Todoroff" boutique wine-cellar, located not far from Plovdiv. This cellar produces small consignments of high quality wine made from the typical Bulgarian grape sort "Mavrud". There is a small SPA hotel next to the cellar, which offers various wine body therapies.

Day 5 - 05.06 - The Monastery in Rila

Breakfast. Departure to Rila monastery - an UNESCO object, one of the symbols of the rich Bulgarian heritage, during the 13-century old history of the Bulgarian state. Visit the monastery and departure for Sofia. City tour round the Bulgarian capital with the cultural, administrative and historical centre of the city. Accommodation, dinner and overnight in 3* hotel.

Day 6 - 06.06

After breakfast - free time. Transfer to the airport and flight back home.
